This is a big day.
We have new white walls and drywall on the ceiling. But that’s not the biggest change.
Do you see the light on the right of the picture?
It is a huge new window!
Since this part of the house had no windows to begin with, and I do like some extra ventilation options in the bathroom, we decided we had to put in a window.
We choose an electric window (because it is pretty high) and it is HUGE. It is more than a meter in width and it barely fitted the space.
But all of a sudden the bathroom gets a whole new and light vibe.
But the window is not all that is new.
All the tiles are finished with white and the ceiling is plastered. Giving the shower area a whole new style.
We decided to put a special kind of plaster on the walls. It’s called Beal Mortex and it has a bit of a concrete look.
This material is waterproof once it’s applied in the right manner, which seemed like a good idea for a bathroom.
We have this on all vertical walls.
This is the last post before the bathroom is done. Hopefully the next episode will show our bathroom fully done and functioning.
It will be the first room in the house to be finished. We are super excited for this day!
Once it is done I will probably do a styling post too. Just to make the series complete.
